
Lauderdale County, MS - The results are in as voters in the Lauderdale County School District rejected the proposed $12.5 million bond issue for a centralized Career and Technical Education Center.
The votes resulted in 4,299 against the proposed bond and 871 in favor of the issue.
School District Superintendent Dr. John Mark Cain issued a public letter stating that “voters have spoken and sent a clear message.”
He also said the district will move forward with the project “in a way that helps provide more opportunities to all Lauderdale County Students” but without additional taxes from county residents.
