First Mississippi Federal Credit Union celebrated its 50th anniversary today. Twin States News spoke with the Bank to find out how they have adapted over the years.

Member service employee, Crystal Clarke, has watched the Bank grow and adapt to COVID and inflation:
"I've been here for four years. I've seen a lot of changes. We've had to adjust to covid, adjust to wearing masks. We've had to operate a little differently."
The Bank showed appreciation to the community today with a free lunch, door prizes, and a chance to win money.
"I would say this bank; this facility has been a plus for the community," said community member Rayford Wright. "The people here are real professionals, and they are here to serve."

Board member of the Bank and member for over 40 years says the Bank has made it a point to be an institute for the entire community:
"I have seen the bank change in diversity. I've seen it embrace the whole community. It's not just here for one sector. It is here for the whole sector of Meridian and the surrounding counties", said Anne Daivs.
The Bank opened in 1972, later branching out to Quitman, MS.
