Local dentist gives back to community

MERIDIAN, MS - A local dentist is doing more than just fixing smiles for his community. Founder of Watermark Endodontics, Dr. Mark Moore, is giving back to the community by awarding local high school seniors one of five $1000 scholarships. Dr. Moore believes it’s his fiduciary duty to help usher in the next generation of dental professionals and that dentistry can be rewarding. Students interested in pursuing careers in dentistry and dental hygiene, who reside in the eligible counties are encouraged to apply no later than April 25.

“We just really wanted to give back to the community, not just by our services but by coaching a new dental health care group years later after we dentist leave the area, retire or whatever," says Dr. Mark Moore.

Dr. Moore and an elected board of dental professionals will determine which students will be presented this coveted scholarship which is set to disburse to the awardee school of choice by May 31st. For more details on eligibility or applying, click here.
