Meridian, MS - For members of Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian, this week started their 11th annual Love out Loud community service week-long event.
“We’re just knocking on doors, asking people how many hot dogs they want, we’re giving them a free meal, and we’re also sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.” says Gary Newell.
Gary Newell is a member of the Northcrest Baptist Church, and enjoys the many ministries Love out loud brings to the community. “We’ve also got our students here they have a block party going on for the kids. They’re up there giving away snowballs, popcorn, cotton candy, a little bit of everything, and playing some games with them. And then down on the corner we have a new ministry, it’s our clothing ministry.”
Speaking of the new clothing ministry, members Rhonda Moore, and Cheryl Newell tell us the significance of the ministry, and outcome since starting yesterday.
“We love to give away clothes to anybody that might need them from infants to largest.” says Rhonda Moore.
“We had a great first day, we gave out over a hundred articles of clothing, and were able to share the love of Jesus with the whole entire other community.” says Cheryl Newell
Gary Newell also feels that Love Out Loud is more than a week-long event, it's also a lifestyle. "Love out loud is just not a week event, but becomes second nature to you, where you're doing it all year long."
The Northcrest Baptist Church is out in the community spreading love, positivity, and the gospel through their Love Out Loud Ministry.
