In Meridian, today was the first day of the 9th Annual Love Out Loud Meridian, a week-long mission event.
Hosted by Northcrest Baptist Church, Love Out Loud-Meridian consists of multiple service projects being conducted each day in different locations from July 20 to July 24. Due to the pandemic, the focus of the event this year will be on serving the community through several outdoor projects, allowing for social distancing. Some of the projects includes a free car wash with drive-through prayer, prayer walking school campuses, Habitat for Humanity, and random acts of kindness.

“We’re in here organizing, labeling, grouping things together, because we’re going to about the community throughout the rest of the week and deliver care packages to the hospitals, to teachers, to police station, fire departments, and then we also have other activities we’re doing around town. Change to laundromats, snow cones to people in the community, just different ways that we can just, when we see people randomly –just to encounter them, and tell them that they’re seen, that they’re loved, and we care about the community of Meridian,” said Andrea Bredow, Coodinator of AGAPE/Random Acts Of Kindness Ministry.
