Meridian, MS - Love’s Kitchen in Meridian is once again expecting a big turnout for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
“Thanksgiving is always our biggest meal, so this isn’t anything new for us,” says Fannie Johnson.
Fannie Johnson, the Executive Director of Loves Kitchen, expressed how the organization plans to bring the feeling of home to the community, for the holidays. “Thanksgiving will be just like at home, all the fixings, you’ll get stuffed and have plenty of food, thanks to the community.”
She also thanked the community for their help and is looking forward to a great Thanksgiving. “It’s wonderful, the community has really been coming through, we’ve got the food, we’re ready, we’re actually cooking our hambones today to get ready for the greens, we’ll put everything else in the oven in the morning, and we’ve got all the volunteers we need.”
Loves Kitchen is thankful for 40-plus years, and they’ve been feeding the hungry since 1982 thanks to the community, and they’re looking forward to a very generous Thanksgiving tomorrow.
