MCC visits Meridian High School for 'College Application Day'

Today was 'College Application Day' at Meridian High School for all in-class seniors. Seniors were able to receive assistance on filling out college applications. Meridian Community College recruiters came in all senior english classrooms to help the students get a head start on the process.

“Basically getting them a head start on the process of filling out the admission application and doing things if they decide to come to MCC, which we hope they do, it gives them that little edge,” said MCC Recruiting Coordinator Kevin Roberts.

“Sometimes kids don’t know exactly how to go through those applications or they forget to click submit at the end--those types of things so we have the MCC recruiters here in our three senior english teacher classrooms working with all the students that are on campus,” MHS College and Career Counselor Tiffanie Roberts explained.

Tomorrow will be virtual College Application Day for all distance learning seniors for Meridian High School.
