Meridian, MS - Today is the start of “Welcome Week” at Meridian Community College, welcoming new and returning students to campus for the 2023 Fall Semester.
“We’re hosting our first Luau, and telling the students aloha, and we’re glad that they’re here, giving them a little breakfast, and just something to start the day off with.” says Nedra Bradley.
Nedra Bradley is executive director of parent services and student support and explains what “Welcome Week” consists of. “This week they’re also going to have a pool party down by the Quave. They’re going to have refreshments in our new PTK courtyard, and also, we’re going to have a community resource fair here on Wednesday, where they can get different things about different resources in the community that may be helpful for them.”
Freshman Aren Peterson, and Sophomore Gabrielle Johnson are excited to start the new semester.
“Excited that I’m living on my own, away from home, I’ll be dorming up here for the next two years.” says Aren Peterson
