Meridian, MS - A new paving project is underway in Meridian,
Phase One of the Medical District Paving Project began early Monday with work crews from Falcon Contracting paving 14th Street.
According to Public Works Director David Hodge, paving is expected to take a week.
Paving will run from 22nd Avenue to Front Street Extension.
One lane will be blocked at a time during the process.
Workers are expected to transition into the Medical District once Hemphill Construction has completed pipeline work within the next few weeks.
