Merdian man sentenced to 10 years in federal prison under Project EJECT

A Meridian man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison under Project EJECT for illegally possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

38-year-old Roderick Dunshaw Tingle of Meridian was sentenced on Thursday, October 1, by U.S. District Judge Carlton W. Reeves. In March of 2019, Meridian Police Department officers responded to a residential burglary alarm at a house on 23rd Avenue. Officers saw signs of a burglary, upon entry into the house they found marijuana, baggies, and scales in the kitchen. A search warrant was later obtained for the home and three pounds of marijuana was found along with six firearms. Tingle was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release.
