Meridian Amnesty Day

On February 24th from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Judge Dustin Markham will be hearing cases to resolve issues such as fines, delinquent payments, and civil contempt warrants.

“Amnesty day is just a fancy way of saying a day of forgiveness or day of grace”, stated Deputy Account Clerk, Mario Scott. “So, this day is set to target and benefit those people who have failed to appear in court or have to come to court ad have failed to comply with payment plans”

It was also stated that fines could possibly be adjusted, and warrants may be lifted. This is a one-day opportunity.
