Meridian Business Community Thriving

The business community continues to thrive in Queen City with the two latest businesses looking to bring freshness and a boost of energy.

One of the latest businesses in Meridian is Elevate Nutrition, a loaded tea company looking to satisfy your caffeine needs but without the typical caffeine crash.

"So, most people drink caffeine, but these are healthy for you. They have herbal tea. They have different things in them to give energy but in a healthy way. They are sugar-free. So, it helps you kind of get through your day without the crashing that you would get with a normal energy drink.", said owner Heather Denton.

Meridian also has a new bakery located downtown. The owner of Bakery 900, Adie Fields, says they are hoping to meet the needs of everyone.

"Well, the biggest thing we hope to bring is just a place for people to come in and sit down and work from," said Fields. People that work from home, students, moms that come in with their kiddos, and dads that come in after a hard day's work to pick up a loaf of bread to have with their dinner. So, we want to be able to meet the needs of all and from every demographic."

The bakery bakes its goods fresh every morning. Fields say providing freshness was their goal, and it is also a way to control the number of preservatives you take in.

"So, whenever you have freshly baked bread, you don't have to worry about the store bread preservatives, that sort of thing. So, you can also have a little bit more control of your ingredients. So, preservatives are the biggest thing. We can ensure that we provide the freshest with limited ingredients."

The Queen city's business community continues to thrive by bringing new and unique companies to Meridian.
