Meridian Community College hosts drive through program for students

The Meridian Community College hosted a drive through program at the Meridian Community College Riley Workforce Development yesterday. This program allowed students to explore academic, and career and technical programs offered at MCC.

Students simply drove through to different tents to gain more information on programs that interest them while maintaining social distancing.

“We have numerous career and technical programs out here,” Dean of Workforce Education Lori Smith explains. “We have about twenty that are representing us in this recruitment effort and we have over thirty-six different programs and fifty-two degrees and certificates to offer. These programs are mostly in our business division and our industrial division. We have a couple of health education programs that are still available.”

Each student received free popcorn and giveaways as well as be entered into a drawing for $500 off tuition, books or fees.
