Meridian, MS - This is National Suicide Awareness Month, and Meridian Community College is making student mental health a top priority.
This Thursday the school is hosting a “Signs of Suicide: Perception vs. Reality” talk. The goal is to educate about suicide and mental health.
“A lot of people don’t know the signs and things to look for in suicide. They may think a person is normal having the time of their life, and those are sometimes the people that are most at risk of being suicidal,” says Nedra Bradley, the Executive Director of Parents Services and Student Support.
This event is open to the public and is set to take place on MCC’s campus in the McCain Theater at 1 Thursday afternoon.
