The Meridian Public School District partnering with Meridian Community College and Get2College in hosting a drive through FAFSA event for Meridian High seniors. This event is part of their Gear Up grant the district received at the beginning of the school year. Get2College provided the school with three financial aid experts in assisting both students and parents with the application. Officials are set to help approximately 33 students with the application.
“...this is just the first step,” said Meridian High School College and Career Counselor Tiffanie Roberts. “They can apply to college-they can do all that without the FAFSA, but they can not receive any federal or state financial aid without doing this step."

"So this is the step that opens the doors for them and sometimes they realize they can go to colleges they didn’t even think they had a chance of attending because of the financial aid," said Roberts.
Students who completed their financial aid also received a free boxed meal courtesy of Get2College.
