Meridian High School holds Parent and Student Orientation ahead of 2023-2024 school year.

Meridian, MS - Parents and Students in Meridian spent the day learning what to expect as the 2023-2024 school year begins soon.

From 9th grade, all the way to seniors, Assistant Principal Karen Burton feels all the information given at the orientation is key to a successful school year. “We we’re excited today to jump start our 2023-2024 school year with an orientation to get our students and parents acclimated. We talked about our policies, we talked about scheduling, we just talked about protocol, procedures that may be new to them, or some advanced procedures that they never encountered before.”

Principal Burton hopes the orientation will serve as an easy head start to students as they begin the new school year. “Now students know what our expectations are, so they are able to move into the building, see where their classes are, they already will have an idea how to read their schedules for the A, B, scheduling, and it should make it a seamless process."

Meridian High’s open house is scheduled for Sunday, August 6th, and the first day of school is next Tuesday, August 8th.
