Meridian Job Fair brings Economic Growth

A Meridian Area Job Fair will be held tomorrow at the Old Office Max in Bonita Lakes Circle. More than 40 of Meridian’s employers will be there looking for new hires to bring on to their team.

I spoke with the director of the job fair Adam Rodd who told us more about it:

“If you are looking for work if you're wondering what’s out there in your community if you are looking for a career change”, said Todd. “We have forty-seven different businesses and organizations that will be present here tomorrow.”

Registration is required for the job fair. You can register on-site tomorrow but Director Todd recommends that you come into the job fair prepared and with a strategy.

“They can go directly to our website as well, www.jobsfairms.gov, and preregister. Please, I encourage everyone to look, come up with a strategy, come up with a game plan for tomorrow and pinpoint those companies you want to spend some time with, and try to put your best foot forward.”

Todd says this is a great opportunity for people in the community to come out and see what job fields need new hires

“People going to work. That’s what we are here for. We create an environment that facilitates the hiring process. At that point, we step away. It is up to that individual that is seeking employment and that business that needs to make the hire. They have to have that insight that each other needs to find the good fits and I do feel that with all the businesses that need to hire, we have a lot of great businesses here for tomorrow. A lot of great things are going to happen for the Meridian community.”

If you pre-register for the event, you must bring in the registration paper printed off with you. To find out more about the job fair you can visit www.jobfairms.gov.
