Meridian Local Author spreads knowledge

ree

A local Author is spreading awareness and providing knowledge through her books.

Standup: Ruth Sanders is an author of two books who believes everyone can benefit from the information she provides in her books. From being a Caregiver to a family member or keeping your integrity in the workplace.

Sanders said,” The first book is dealing with a person 18 and older who is working or going into the workplace and the things that you need to know in order to maintain your integrity about resolution and conflict resolution and how to be an overcomer.”

Sanders says her third book will resonate with things that are going on currently due to COVID and how many people have become caregivers to a loved one.

“I think that pandemic has actually taught us a lot about death and dying and young people and elderly people do not like to think about caregivers. So this book is actually, I would say, a blueprint that you can give to someone to open the dialogue about becoming a caregiver."

Being a nurse for 50 years Sanders says she never signed up to be a caregiver to a loved one and that no one usually does.

“It can happen at any time. And this book will actually let every person know, 18 and older, that you really actually need a plan in place because you never know when you're going to become a caregiver, or someone will need to care for you."

Knowing firsthand the stress that comes with becoming a caregiver for a family member Sander says she hopes her book will help guide others.

“It's a silent epidemic that's creeping up on us that we really don't want to talk about, but we need to open the dialogue.”

Sanders's books are available anywhere books are sold.
