Meridian Mayor involved in accident.

Meridian, MS - The Mayor of Meridian is back at work after being involved in a car accident.

The city has confirmed Mayor Jimmie Smith was involved in an accident this morning at 34th Street and 12th Avenue.

The city announced the Mayor passed a drug screening, and the crash is under investigation.
