The Meridian Police Department is investigating after human remains were found on Thursday, October 1.

According to authorities, bones were found in the wooded area behind the Shell Gas Station on 22nd Avenue. The victim has not yet been identified, and investigators have not yet determined the cause of death. This is an ongoing investigation for the Meridian Police Department.
