Meridian Police make Arrest in 2022 Murder Case.

Meridian, MS - Meridian Police have made an arrest in an ongoing murder case since last year.

25-Year-Old, James Lanier Jr. was arrested earlier this month for the murder of 26-Year-old, DaJon Huggins. Huggins was murdered on August 5, 2022, at the 2200 block of 22nd Avenue.

Lanier was apprehended in Florida through a collaborative investigation with the Meridian Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, the Special Operations Unit, and The North Florida Region United States Marshal Fugitive Task Force.

Lanier will be extradited to Mississippi to face the charge and his bond is set at One Million Dollars.
