Meridian, MS - Meridian’s Rotary Club met today at Northwood Country Club to learn more about the Meridian Public School District Foundation.
President of the Foundation, Neil Henry, tells Twin States News why his foundation held this meeting.
“We had the opportunity to speak at the Rotary Club at Northwood to many of our business leaders. Really talking about the importance of the foundation and the partnership we need to help our Meridian Public School District. We want to make sure that we highlight a lot of the things we are doing because they cost money.”
Mr. Henry also explains why this foundation is so important for the students in the Meridian Public School District.
“A lot of the things that we are trying to do is raise money and then deploy those funds back into the community as far as the schools. The teachers can apply for these mini-grants and it just gives a higher level of learning for the students as they progress.”
