Meridian, MS - As many people are preparing for Holiday traveling, some residents in Meridian; like Lindy Deen, are taking advantage of the TSA Precheck at the Meridian Regional Airport this week. “We have plans to go on a big trip at the end of January, and I’m hoping that we’ll be able to bypass the long lines and so forth.”
Although AAA is reporting a record number of Thanksgiving travel this year, Lindy is looking forward to a peaceful holiday at home. “I’m not going anywhere during the holiday season, there are too many stories about people being stranded.”
And she is not alone, Caleb Clanton of Waynesboro also plans to travel as little as possible but is using the precheck as a benefit when traveling for work. “One of my coworkers is from Quitman, and he was telling me about the TSA precheck, so I got set up with that to hopefully speed when I do travel for work.”
As residents prepare for travel during or after the holiday season, they hope the TSA Precheck will help them get in and out of the airport much quicker,
