Meridian Residents ready for Fall Season as hot summer comes to an end.

Meridian, MS - The hot summer season is coming to an end, and many people in Meridian are looking forward to a break from the heat.

“I have to say the cool down does feel good because we had some days where you had to run from the sun. I mean it got really hot; it was like 115 one day I remember.” says Rubye Rogers.

As the change in season is expected to bring cooler temperatures, Resident Rubye Rogers is looking forward to being outdoors. “I love this, it's refreshing, just to drive through the city, the beautiful trees that are flowering, it’s beautiful.”

She also enjoys being amongst the community during the fall season. “Going to the park, and watching the people out more, and the children are playing, I just enjoy it so much.” As for resident Vincent Zapatka, he plans to enjoy the nice weather while also spending time at home. “I enjoy sitting outside on the patio, it’s cool, you sit outside, and in front of the patio all you see is a forest, and the tress and things like that.”

Many residents say as we enter the fall season, the thing that they are looking forward to the most is enjoying the cool breeze and the outdoors.
