Mississippi Children's Museum to release 'Quest for Innovation' Playbook next week

The Mississippi Children’s Museum will be distributing their MCM playbook special edition “MCM Quest for Innovation” next week in conjunction with Mississippi Science Fest.

This special edition focuses on innovative spirits of Mississippians during COVID-19, celebrating statewide innovation superheroes.

The book will also feature STEAM activities for children to complete at home and additional resources that can be accessed virtually.

“We interviewed staff at Mississippi State University to talk about some of the things they’ve done such as--they converted ventilators for UMMC,” Executive Director Liz Wilson explains. “We talked to C-Spire and some of the things they’ve done, specifically which regards to high-speed internet. We also talked to Blue Delta Jean which is a company in Tupelo that made masks for the pandemic.”

All these interviews and more will be featured in this month’s fall playbook. It will be available September 18th.
