Mississippi Dept. of Education Announces School Plans To Be Finalized By July 31

The Mississippi Department of Education has announced that all school districts throughout the state will finalize plans for the start of the 2020 to 2021 school year by Friday, July 31.

Last month, the Mississippi State Board of Education gave school districts the flexibility to implement one of three options for operating schools in this upcoming school year: traditional, virtual or a hybrid of in-person and distance learning. All districts must post school opening plans on their website, and report plans to the Mississippi Department of Education by Friday.
