Now two weeks after 16-year-old Jacob Hyde was arrested in the shooting of a 30-year-old man, his mother Dawanna Renee Budd,53, has been charged with accessory after the fact.

Authorities tell us that the decision was made after further investigation of the incident. Budd has been in custody since the shooting that occurred on September 25th under an unrelated misdemeanor charge.
“Our investigators from the incident until this past week gathered information using technology and based upon new information charged her", stated Lauderdale County's Sheriff Sollie. "We believe that her role after the incident caused us to be delayed in taking him into custody.”
Budd's son, Jacob Hyde, was charged with murder in the case after a manhunt to find him. Hyde, Budd, and the victim all lived in the same house where the shooting took place.
“There has been a lot of misinformation put out there on social media, the investigators have collected what they believe to be the truth. That information will be presented to a grand jury involving all parties that were there at the house and their individual role that lead up to the shooting itself.”- Sheriff Sollie
Hyde’s bond was originally set at a million dollars but has since been reduced to $25,000. The mother’s bond is set at $20,000. Both remain in Lauderdale County jail.
