The Meridian Public-School District will be implementing additional game day guidelines prior to MHS's football game in Ray Stadium on October 2.

In addition to the COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines that will be enforced, like social distancing, only limiting 25% stadium capacity, and requiring facial coverings when entering and exiting the stadium, the district will now implement walk-through metal detectors at all sporting events, and no book bags will be allowed, but purses, camera bags, and diaper bags will be permitted.
“When you think of athletics you think of family and fun –and that’s what we want to continue to think of as family and fun. So, again just keeping in line of what we already have in place, --it won’t be any major big to-do. I think another adjustment you will see in underneath the stadium, because of covid-19, you know normally sometimes you may have a little bit more talking and conversation underneath at the concession, we’re asking that our fans continue to move on, if they’re going to go and provide any type of snacks, then to head back into the stands,” said Cheyenne Trussell
The new game day guidelines will go into effect on Friday, October 2.
