MPSD partners with Weems Community Mental Health Center to hold Zoom meetings for parents

The Meridian Public-School District and Weems Community Mental Health Center are partnering to conduct meetings via Zoom with parents, providing them with guidance on various topics regarding interactions with their children.

The topic for the meeting scheduled tomorrow evening is “social emotional well-being, caring for children with emotional and behavioral problems”.

There will be a session held for parents of elementary school students from 5pm-5:30pm and the session for parents of secondary students will be conducted from 5:45pm to 6:15pm.

“The reason that we want to make sure that we are hosting these parent meeting is to provide information to our families, because we are supporting the children at school, but we also want to make sure that we are connecting with our parents. So, that we can provide support for them outside of school. So, that we can empower them, and also ensure that all of our families are successful,” said Deidre Bland, MPSD Community Engagement Specialist.
