Meridian, MS - The Meridian Police Department has increased its technology with the addition of drone.
The department has a new drone team, hoping to better serve the community, and also keep its officers safe.
The new drone will be operated by three certified pilots and used to assist with police operations and may also be used for alerts for missing children or seniors, and to monitor city-sponsored downtown events or other large gatherings.
The Drone is said to be part of the mayor’s plan to upgrade Meridian Police Department’s technology.
