The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience has a new program that allows clients of local non-profit organizations to receive free admission, and membership privileges.

The new program is called the MAXCares program, and was inspired by a California couple that had memberships with the MAX asking to give their membership to someone in the Meridian community who may not be able to afford admission to the MAX , after realizing they would not be able to use their memberships. The MAX then reached out to local nonprofit organizations and donors to create the program. The Free Clinic of Meridian, The Salvation Army and Care Lodge have joined as partners.
“I think the free membership shows them through he lives of the people that are featured at the MAX, what it is like to dream big and reach your goals and make them, and so I think it will be an inspiration to them and give them hope that they can do the same thing for their life,” Lt. Tamara Robb, The Salvation Army.
