Northeast High School's Coffee Cart Crew

The gift of giving this holiday season was displayed by one middle school that provided hot coffee and sweet treats as a token of appreciation to the staff.

Northeast Middle School started their Holiday break by showing an act of kindness to their administration by providing free coffee and treats for all Staff and Crew provided by the Northeast High School Coffee Cart Crew work-based learning program.
“I thought it would be a nice little treat to give the faculty and staff members one free ticket admit for one free treat from the coffee shop. we are so thankful that Ms.Suzy sims and the high school coffee shop students stopped by to serve us this morning," said Deborah Porter Principle of NEMS.
From bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodians, and teachers all were happy to have the work-based learning coffee cart crew to provide them with goodies.
"We are so thankful that the coffee express shop stopped by northeast middle school to give us a sweet nice treat," said Dr. Henderson.
The work-based learning students of Northeast High School enjoyed the experience of the program and tell us what they learned and enjoyed the most.
"It's pretty good we haven't had this many customers at once honestly but sp far it’s been pretty nice to serve the middle school and to get them excited for the high school and will know what's coming up towards them," stated senior Rod Ali.
Senior Jordan Mckee said, "It's good to come out here and let them get the privilege that high school students get and hope that they enjoy it."
Sims the work-based learning teacher says her student was taught many different skills during the program.
"Life experience, teamwork and collaboration and they learned about business inventory and customer service handling money it’s a special class."
