Northeast High School held its annual homecoming parade today.

Seniors waved from floats as they drove by Northeast Middle school and Northeast Elementary school. Students lined up at Northpark Church on floats, in decorated cars, and a school bus covered with festive posters and streamers. The parade was led by the “Trojan King”, the 2020 homecoming maids, and was followed by many represented campus clubs. One senior shared that she was glad she was able to still participate in the homecoming tradition, despite the pandemic.
“It’s amazing, my friends did it last year, and I wanted to do it this year. I’m so glad we could, because I know COVID’s been out, but I’m super happy about It now,” said Julian Moore, senior at Northeast High School.
Tonight, Northeast Lauderdale High School will have its homecoming football game at 7pm versus Leake Central Highschool, where the homecoming ceremony will take place during halftime.
