Meridian, MS - It’s never too early to begin thinking of the future, and that’s exactly what students at Northeast Middle school are doing. The school held a College and Career Day for students to learn about colleges and the many different career paths in the Queen City. Twin States News was there to give the students a look into the world of News, and advice on chasing their TV dreams.
As the students gained information on college and possible career choices, student Christian Lanier hopes to one day become a News Reporter. “You can tell all the details, and you can tell what’s going on in the world.”
Speaking of what’s going on in the World, students like Patience Sumpter and Jaliyah Taylor plan to impact the medical world as a pediatrician and as a veterinarian. “I want to help the Kids, until they’ll be able enough to go to a real doctor." says Sumpter. “I like animals, horses, dogs, cats, I like helping animals." says Taylor.
Northeast Middle School enjoyed giving students an opportunity to learn about future careers, and they enjoyed a free day out of class.
