Northeast principals honored for National Principals month by Winn Dixie

October is National Principals month and today principals at Northeast Elementary, Middle, and High School were given a surprise presentation by Winn Dixie of Meridian. Principals were each given a fruit basket and four $50 gift cards to use for school materials.

“They don’t get the recognition they deserve for all the hard work they’re doing," said Store Director Richard McDonald. "They’re doing online schooling, they’re doing in-schooling--they’re just doing a lot of extra work here and nobody’s recognizing them for it.”

“I am so thrilled this morning that Winn Dixie acknowledged Northeast Elementary with these gift cards for our teachers. We have been really trying this year to provide encouragement and moral boosters throughout the year because this is a challenging year, there’s no doubt. This has been challenging. There is extra stress on teachers.”

Presentations will be made by Winn Dixie throughout the rest of the week.
