
Meridian, MS - Meridian Public Schools reports three individuals broke into Poplar Springs Elementary during the weekend of September 9-10.
Now, one of the suspected burglars has been charged with breaking and entering into a commercial business.
Superintendent Dr. Amy Carter said she was disheartened that someone would break into one of their campuses and steal from students.
Meridian Public School Campus Police are actively searching for the other two suspects involved. The stolen devices are being tracked by location software and the district points out that anyone found in possession of these items can also be charged with possession of stolen property.
