Meridian MS - All third graders in the Meridian Public School District are gearing up to take a big test tomorrow. The district decided to host pep rallies at every elementary school to get the students excited for the test.
Poplar springs elementary teacher Dorothy Rigdon hopes the pep rally provides a boost of encouragement. “Tomorrow is their big MAAP Assessment, they’re third grade, so it kind of hinges on if they get to go to fourth grade or not. We wanted to boost their morale and pump them up. Just let them know we are behind them 100% and that they can do this tomorrow.”
Third grade teacher Ashley Eades stated the encouragement comes from the district and community as well. “Meridian Public School District loves them. Their family and all the community love them. And we are behind them 100%."
Oakland heights elementary third grade teacher Shannon Adams, shared advice to the students for tomorrow. “We want them to come in tomorrow well rested, have a good breakfast in the morning, make sure to get to school on time.”
The schools hope students had great time and encourage them on their test tomorrow.
