Plans for new skate park in Meridian.

Meridian, MS - The improvement of Meridian parks was one of the main topics of discussion during the City of Meridian’s work session.

Ward 5 Councilwoman Ty Bell Lindsey says the city is striving to get 3 grants for funding.

One grant is the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which will directly help fund the new skate park.

The total price of the park is expected to be over $775,000.

Ben Arthur Park is the location chosen for this new addition to the city.
