Quitman High School Football Player Tests Positive For COVID-19

The Quitman School District announced that one of the football players at Quitman High School tested positive for COVID-19.

The district released a statement, sharing that the entire Quitman Panther football team is currently required to quarantine for fourteen days, and that everyone that has been in close contact with the student has been notified and will also need to quarantine. The Quitman School District also stated, that although it is not required to inform the public when teachers and students test positive COVID-19, it will continue to report this information in order to remain transparent.
