In Clarke County, the Quitman School District has temporarily paused its summer feeding program due to a lack of student participation in the meal program.

The Summer Feeding Program is now expected to resume when summer school begins in July, the Quitman School District also reminds parents that the Mississippi Department of Human Services and The Mississippi Department Of Education will provide “Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer” benefits to supplemental nutrition assistance program households and non-snap households for children who have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to pandemic-related school closures.
