Railroad Crossing on 29th Avenue Closing for Rehabilitation.

Meridian, MS - If you drive on 29th Avenue in Meridian be prepared to take a detour next week.

The Kansas City Southern Railway will be fixing up the 29th Avenue railroad crossing,

beginning on Tuesday.

Public Works Director, David Hodge, says the process should take 2 days to complete.

He also says the plan is to detour traffic using 8th Street and Highway 19.

There will be electronic signs placed along the interstate to remind travelers not to take the 29th Avenue exit.
