Saturday will mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy that killed thousands of Americans. Today the sorrow and devastating of the 9/11 attack is still carried by many.
We spoke with some who remember exactly where they were when they found out that the World Trade Center had been hit by a terrorist.
“I was at school, and it was a ruckus, everybody was in a panic”, said Willisha Offer. I didn’t know what happened. It seemed like after that so much more started to follow.”

The significance of 9/11 for others marked the day as being, “The most tragic day America”.
“It tore me up. I couldn’t even finish my day’s work. I had to leave and come home it tore me up that bad. To me, it was the most tragic thing that ever occurred in the United States”, said Roland Stewart.
Following American soldiers being pulled from Afghanistan over the last months, relief was felt for the soldiers and their families.
I’m so glad that they were pulled from over there. It’s a blessing, it is a blessing because more of them could have been gone than what they took from us.”- Willisha Offer
