A reminder--tomorrow is the last day to vote absentee for all 82 counties in Mississippi. The state does not allow early voting, but rather absentee voting whereas you need a legal reason to vote. Voters need a government identification in order to vote.
“It’s always the last two Saturdays before every election and this year we’re having to be open for extended hours because of the COVID,” said Circuit Clerk of Lauderdale County Donna Jill Johnson. “You just have to have your picture ID. If you happen to have your voter registration card, it’s helpful to us and the poll workers on election day.”
Circuit clerk’s offices will be open from 8am to 5pm for anyone who still needs to vote absentee for the November 3rd election.
