In Clarke County, the Quitman School District is providing parents with a distance learning option if they are not comfortable with their children returning to school for in-person instruction, but the district has announced a change with its distance learning plan.

The deadline to register a student for the distance learning option is July 31, and the requirements for a child to participate in distance learning have now been identified. Parents must first schedule an appointment with their child’s school to complete the request for virtual learning form in-person, or print off the form and complete it and have it sent to their child’s school. Also, they must meet the criteria on the Quitman School District’s “I Can” distance learning checklist.
