Residents enjoy outdoors during Labor Day Holiday.

Meridian, MS - Although some may have still had to work, other residents in the community spent their holiday enjoying being outdoors.

“Enjoying a round of disc golf out here, this is one of the few places in Meridian that we have to come play.” says Robert Morgan.

Robert Morgan of Meridian enjoyed spending time with his family. “The kids are out of school, so we get that extra day with them, and spend time with them, doing the things that really count.”

Speaking of being out of school, Aiden Heiser of Collinsville spent the holiday out at the park. “We’re feeding the ducks and geese, and we’re just celebrating by doing that.”

As for Meridian Resident Cedric Ruffin, today was a perfect day for exercise. “It is Labor Day Weekend, and we should be resting, but I decided to come out and do the trail with one of My colleagues.”

Residents are taking advantage to be outdoors and enjoy the Labor Day Holiday.
