Ribbon cutting held for new location of Meridian Symphony Association

A ribbon cutting was held today for the Meridian Symphony Association at their new location. The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation hosted the event, welcoming the establishment in the heart of Downtown Meridian. The symphony is celebrating their 60th year anniversary.

“The whole entire community is a part of this celebration,” said Executive Director of Meridian Symphony Association Carra Purvis. “Whether you’ve purchased tickets for our concerns, or you’ve had a child in the local school district as part of one of our education programs-we’re so thankful for these 60 years and we look forward to 60 more wonderful years here in the community of Meridian.”

The symphony is located at 2120 5th Street in Meridian.
