Today the Salvation Army-Meridian honored veterans with treats. Every veteran was able to receive a fresh doughnut, coffee and a bottle of water from the feeding canteen. Veterans were also able to take advantage of all 50% off items at the Salvation Army Family Store for their dedicated service.
“The Salvation Army has been a part of serving the military for many years now,” said Lieutenant Tamara Robb. “Some gave all, all gave some and we want to honor them because that’s such a great sacrifice for them and their families as well. We just wanted to give something back to them because they gave so much to us.”
The Salvation Army began serving soldiers during World War I and they are continuing their dedicated service.
