Meridian MS - No one wants to come home to damaged property. Unfortunately, that was the case for Lance Bartee after last night’s storms in Meridian. “All I know is I got a phone call from one of my contractors on around 7:00 last night, basically just telling me that I had actually received significant damage to one of my is one of my rental houses here in meridian. So that's all I know.”
Now he has to decide what’s next, once the damage has been cleared. “Oh, I don't know. I would like to rebuild, but I’ve already put quite a bit of money into this house right now. So, it really is really hard to say.”
Just down the road, Melissa Reed is suffering from storm damage as well, unable to retrieve anything from her home, she is turning to the community for help. "Anything that the community has to offer us. I have four daughters, three sons, age from 20, and my baby, she's nine. If they give me a call, they can reach me, (601-480-4339) Anything in the house that’s ours, we can't touch."
