Meridian Public Library hosted “Snapshot” day to show the community the day in the life of a library. Twin States News, Jasmine Stevenson has the story.
Meridian public library hosted a snapshot day to inform the community on what they have to offer and why they should visit. The library holds the event every year but due to Covid-19, this year is its' first time back.
Children's Liberian, Julia Adams says “ It encourages people about what we provide whether it’s computer’s or finding information. We have a genealogy department, so you can find out where you come from, who your ancestors are. We also provide different activities throughout the week for our patrons. Whether it’s the babies to our senior citizens here in our community.”

A regular of the library Brad Campbell told us why he enjoys the genealogy program.
“I enjoy coming to the library to do a lot of research, I like to work with my family tree and genealogy, and the library here in Meridian has a really good department. Lots of different areas are covered and families. I have spent several hours just digging through and looking through. I don’t always find what I’m looking for but I enjoy getting the research.", said Brad Campbell.
Tonight the library will host a children’s program that will include crafts and a teen and adult scavenger hunt. The Meridian Library encourages everyone to come out and experience snapshot day. Jasmine Stevenson, Twin States News, Meridian,
