Tax Collectors are Kicking off Halloween Weekend

Workers in the Lauderdale County Tax Collectors department kicked off the Halloween weekend by bringing some fun into the office. The theme was “Crazy Cat Lady.”

“We do this to bring some smiles to our customers faces as they come in”, said County Tax Collector, Doris Spidle. “I know everybody doesn’t look forward to coming here and seeing us because they do have to give us their hard earn money so we’re hoping that maybe at least they’ll get a little smile and let them know we love them and appreciate them”

The department dresses up every year for Halloween in hopes that it’ll make their customers feel a little better when giving the tax collectors their money.
